Buttock

Gluteal implants do wonders on flat, round and oval buttocks, the implants come in a smooth or textured silicone membrane to avoid movement and fibrous formation which gives hardness and pain to buttocks. The patient decides on the shape depending on her pelvis morphology and buttock. These implants come in different sizes and thicknesses.

Implants only correct the upper part of buttocks. Surgery takes an hour and a half under general anaesthesia. The patient lies on the belly, a 5 centimeter incision is done in the inter gluteal fold where the prosthesis is put in, after having detached the superficial and medium muscles.

The patient will stay two nights at the clinic, lying on the belly, only position allowed as well as standing position, for the two first weeks one must not sit on the prosthesis.

Lipofilling is another alternative to increase buttock volume, an efficient technology, the Brazilian way, but there are two main problems:

• Some patients do not have sufficient fat to inject
• To get satisfying results surgery must be repeated 2 or 3 times.
